I have an older K-Line 0-6-0 switcher #509 with TMCC and railsounds that is wonderfully detailed - almost as good as
Lionel's new legacy 0-6-0 - and I love it. The only thing that has bugged me is that the valve gear appears to have blackened
which cuts down on my enjoyment because I love to watch steam locos gear in action. Any ideas on how to remove it or should I paint it. I also wonder if Lionel used the old K-Line tooling - they look almost identical - and would ordering the parts from Lionel be a solution?
