Hey gang,

I am restoring some MPC Milwaukee Road F3's for a friend of mine with new nose decals.

Question is, How can I remove the remnants of the old decals currently on the noses and sides of the F3's without damaging the plastic? I have some new water slide decals on order from a vendor who actually had NOS MPC decals.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

What palallin said...those old decals will be brittle.....I think there’s a spray you can shoot over top of them lightly that will help hold them together .....otherwise they’ll shatter like glass when you go to apply them..water slide decals don’t always have a good shelf life.....before you go buying waterslide decals from the 70’s contact Jim @ Highball Graphics, I’m sure he could duplicate to a tee those original nose decals ...on fresh film...😉

I use DullCoat spray to coat the decal. 1 or 2 passes should work.
