Removing S helper F unit decal | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

All;

I have this nice A-B F unit C&NW set that has part of the C&NW logo rubbed off of it. The way the unit sits in the form fit styrofoam box it came in causes it to rub hard over the decal.

Suggestions for removing the nose art? I think it is a water decal? Also, would anyone know where I could find a replacement decal for it?

This will be my first attempt at removing factory decoration.

I don't think SHS used decals on any of their products (except for car numbers on some of the first run PS2 covered hoppers, and those were user applied.)

Everything I have the "nose art" is printed on. I don't know the process.

If it is a decal try 91% alcohol or Micro-Sol. It shouldn't bother the paint. If it is paint, you may need turpentine or brake fluid.
