I'm looking to buy a 2332 GG1. Most of them are the worse for wear, cosmetically. I have no interest in the collector value. I believe Elliot Welz is no longer doing his magic. Who else would you recommend ?

Have you considered DIY? If memory serves, Train Tender has the correct DGLE and decals.

I recommend Len Carparelli. He has done a few pieces for me. He’s excellent.
You could also contact harry hieke. He weathered an engine for me.....amazing work.

whenever I get serious about landing a GG1, that's what I'll do. If I don't like my results....rinse lather repeat. All I'll be out is the paint and my time.
Hey Dan. I have one that runs fine as it was reconditioned many years ago by our service guy. He painted it and I have a set of Janice Bennett transfers for it if you're interested. Contact me off line
