Last fall one of my MTH Z-4000 Transformers slid off an angled shelf in a permanent home I was building , flipped upside down, and the Right Handle snapped off. I was trying to observe if I had the shelf set at the correct position to facilitate a couple Z-4000's.
Luckily, a very considerate MTH Parts employee kept an eye out for a replacement handle. These were not stock but one was amazingly located for me after several months. I now have the handle and the next part is installation. DOES ANYONE know how this handle and gear are installed? It looks like a control rod (square rod) is what the handle is installed on . I am wondering, do I need to tear down the whole box to install, or, does the old handle slide off and the replacement simply slide back on ?
Any suggestion or instruction vastly appreciated.
