Repair Parts for Overland GP-60

Brassmonger on eBay has acquired all the Overland parts stock.  He has listed many gearboxes in the past. His name is Bil Davis and his private website is American Scale Models.

Agreed that Bill Davis would be the best source for Overland parts.

If that doesn't work out, I may be able to assist.  I take in a lot of OMI drives and most customers don't want them back after I've installed new drives in their models.

For very good reason.  If it is early Overland you may want a total repower.  CLW with Jay's tooth belts would be a minimalist solution, or just go with his repower.

We found early Overland would make it around the loop roughly once.  They tell me later Overland is way better.  I do have a recent PA, but have not track tested it, so cannot vouch for its innards.

Early Overlands are shelf queens. Period.

Any chance we can get some photos of the offending parts?  Overland had numerous iterations of their drives and many parts are not interchangeable.

Brian, I highly recommend taking the opportunity to upgrade to Jay's drive.  You will get much smoother and quieter operation and current draw of under 1 Amp total, with similar pulling power. And if you're into DCC and sound, you can use an HO decoder. Jay also offers a dual-motor option so you also have room a big speaker too.

Sorry Jay, it's highly likely I don't understand the sponsor concept properly. Not wishing to ruffle any feathers here!
