Replace Lionel GP7 Stanchions with P&D Cast Type

I'm looking at my future projects, and see that fixing the pilots on the Legacy GP7s should be a piece of cake, but I see that the Lionel handrail stanchions are the "pressed" type and not the "cast" type as should be on the NYC's GP7s.

Has anyone replace the handrails stanchions on the Legacy GP7s with the correct ones from P&D Hobby?
