Replace PS3 steam loco headlight LED with incandescent bulb

I have a premier PS3 0-8-0. The LED headlight is much too white and, because it is directional, it does not illuminate the number boards adequately. Can I replace the LED with an MTH 6V incandescent bulb? If not, are there other LEDs that might work better? Thank you.

You can't use an incandescent bulb, the circuitry is designed for 3V white LED's.

You can use a flattop LED and also sand the sides to diffuse the light somewhat.
