Replacement for broken RMT coupler

Try calling RMT directly. I don't know what the situation is when it comes to spare parts but maybe Walter or his rep may be able to help. I have gotten parts from him before but that was prior to the recent rebirth.

Perhaps if you could post a photo of what you need some one here could suggest an alternative part or rummage something up out of our parts piles.

I will ill try calling Walter.  Never thought about that since I didn't see any listing for parts on their website. 

In the meantime here are top and bottom photos of the broken couplers.

Any chance K Line parts might work?

You can repair those with standard Lionel knuckles and rivets.

Got a reply from Susie at RMT and found out that unlike the modern cars being produced the cars I have are 8 years old and used Aristo parts which are no longer available since they went out of business. She did tell me I could use K-line couplers and knuckles as John had suggested.

If you're lazy or fumble-fingered, you can use the plastic knuckle with the built-in spring, they're very easy to install.  OTOH, I normally use the diecast knuckle with the separate spring as they last a whole lot longer before the spring gives out.

Did my wife call you and tell you how lazy and fumble-fingered I am !   I can't deny it but I will take your advice and try and replace with cast vs plastic.
