Replacement Parts for K-Line Railroadsters

I have been looking for a source of those parts for years.  I could use 20 of them!

Hopefully one day someone will have a lead.

Probably could, I guess. Would have to cut some copper sheet into a small strip, bend it to form a curl, drill two holes to accommodate the screws, and see what happens. May have to do just that. Will give it a try. Might be a good workaround.

When I was a kid my older Lionel steamers had a flat pickup that wore like this. My dad used to fill it with solder and it held up well. I'm not sure what kind he used as it was 50 years ago.

There actually a small roller that goes with them as well.  In the pic posted by the topic starter it is ripped off which is common....

Could you solder on some of the braided pickups like on slot cars?

Brendan, you read my mind. I did recall as a kid, having slot cars with what looked like thick copper wire making contact with the road. I was going to strip some lamp wire, fan out the individual strands,  and solder it to what's left of the pickup on the truck, but just checked Amazon and they sell braided wire. That may be easier.....

I agree, it sounds like making a sliding pick-up instead of trying to replicate a roller pick-up is going to be your best option.
