Good Afternoon All,
Anyone know where I can get metal roof walks for Intermountain O Scale 40' AAR boxcars? The plastic ones that come with the kits do not quite measure up to the detail of the rest of the model. I checked the Atlas online store and all they have listed are roof walks for the 50' PS-1's. I guess I could cut the 50' roof walks down to fit but I'd rather have one solid piece. Any info / input will be greatly appreciated.

Although they are currently not in stock at Walthers, Precision Scale offers etched roof walks in 40' and 50' lengths, including the end walks, at a reasonable price.
I have a supply of the old Athearn (et al) kits and other O scale boxcar kits which I thoroughly enjoy building....crude as they are by today's standards. I have laid up a supply of these Precision Scale walks just to enhance the credibility of the final assembled product. I love 'em.
Go ahead and order through Walthers. They'll arrive soon enough. Or order direct.
The old Intermountain walks were excellent, too. But, since they're no longer in production, good luck in finding them commonly available. You might try P&D Hobbies in Fraser, MI....excellent home-spun O-scale folks.

I used to really like the PS roofwalks but they seem to be cut/etched too thin now. Most of them are damaged (the sides broken off) when they arrive.
