Replacing a pantograph for a Lionel 520

I have to replace the pantograph on this engine. I looked in Greenberg but there is no mention of a 520. I thought this was odd. Anyway does anyone know if the shell has to be taken off to replace this pantograph. Any help would be appreciated.
