so, I’ve now got back to the Scout and 2026 locos which came to me a while ago. Both run quite nicely after the usual cleaning and lubrications, but they have about one-and-a-half e-units between them, neither of which function to any useful extent. I’m minded to replace both with modern boards, probably the Dallee ones.
I see that these come in two ratings, 4 amp and 12 amp, with $30 or so difference. Given that I want at least two, possibly three units, that’s significant - so does anyone have experience of these? Which would be appropriate for these locos?
