Reply With Quote Not Functioning as Before

I am finding the Reply with Quote is no longer quoting the entire message which may generally be beneficial. I've found that prior blockquotes no longer are propagated.

For example, if you try quoting this post, the following will will disappear:

 I also noticed that the quoted username gets pre-pended with an @ symbol and causes a "Mentioned" notification to go out. I do see this as potentially useful, but do not like that nested quotes can disappear and cause context lost in busy threads.

Probably to keep folks from quoting with a lot of nested quotes and nested pictures.

@MartyE, I'd rather live with that issue over having the effort required to interact with threads I'm interested in contributing to have a higher barrier.

Well I can only guess why it was done but the Mods have in the past complained about the nested quotes.

You only have to see a thread where someone posted a ton of pictures and then you see them over-and-over again to understand why this was done.

This is part of the latest software upgrade to the forum. This prevents the re-quoting of a dozen photos only to post "Nice pictures." at the bottom. Nested quotes will no longer appear.
