Art's Circus Cars Unloading

Just wanted to give a "heads up" to my friends on the Tinplate Forum to see my ad on the For Sale forum.

Like seeing the LGB Circus cars and animals and peeps on the set up.

NOTES: The animals, except the chimp by LGB, are all by Schleich. If you look closely at the circus trailer on the flat car, there is a lioness and her two cubs inside. The two clowns, ringmaster, female performer, and the tiger trainer are all LGB figures. The elephant herder (gray outfit) is by Lionel. The two baby elephants and the large female are African while the one standing next to the woman is an Asian female.

Feel free to enlarge the photos - you might even hear a lion roar or an elephant trumpet! LOL!

This all started when I acquired a set of LGB animals and a trainer. Then I discovered the wonderful Schleich figures. It is a small tableau of the circus arriving.

GREAT animals! I have the LGB peeps except for the animal trainer- the peeps got a coat of Testors clean gloss spray.

The detailing on the tiger's head is amazing when you look at one close up! Personally, I love the African elephant calves. We have an elephent theme going in our living room with some twenty-two representations including an elephant chair carved out of a cubic meter of teak from Thailand, puchased while living in San Francisco in 2000.

The LGB animal trainer came with the animal assortment. That figure was also included in one of the circus train sets.

We also have a painting actually done by an elephant at our Nashville, TN Zoo.

Ya gotta love elephants! :-)
