I have a couple of these sitting around that the "building" is rusty, dented, and missing the roof. they're not worth selling or worth fixing as is. has anyone ever turned one of these into something else that looks good on the layout. it's a tower and the tower has a light so i think you could use it somehow. there are some very creative people out here so i was wondering what others may have done. thanks, jeff

Perhaps part of a ski lift or aerial tram?
Airplane pylon - insert motor or hand crank to operate with planes whirling around
Fire observation tower
clock tower
Military tower
crane
Just brainstorming here
I think Papa Eastman used a number of them for an elevated line.

Can you do another video of the industrial loop where the lamp was to the right side of the layout?
Thanks for your YouTube link.
lots of bridges on your pike. You could apply the towers to the side of bridges or even tops of bridges where tower keepers or guards might be on watch.
Not sure what junker tower you have however making a roof is simple if you have some cardboard and some aluminum foil and some tape. You can even run a pattern wheel to embose the roof with pretend rivets! Us the thicker aluminum foil for that. You can paint the roof or weather the foil to your liking.

Thanks. I’ll be working on the rails tomorrow so I’ll try to do another vid. The marx towers look a little cheesy. I thought about using them as supports for bridges. I’ve seen searchlight towers that aren’t much more than a bulb on top of a platform

Not all water towers were round. Styrene sides, maybe some rivet tape and seams. Roof optional.
Kinda like the airplane, but a "roof mounted" beam crane instead?
Make a roof and paint it, weather it, add detail to it, etc. (use the shape, create the texture, detail, and change the feel of them.
Combine them as signal bridge. Make a walkway between them&, make or buy, stairs.
Find more and cobble some electrical catenary towers.
