I just picked up a K-Line 2 truck shay with factory cruise. It came without a manual. If someone has one of these engines could you tell me what the reset code is? I don't need a manual as I have other K-Line engines, some with cruise, but just wanted to verify if the code is any different from other K-Line cruise engines. TIA

The function reset code for TMCC-equipped Shay locomotives is 34.

That is the same code that Lionel Steam from the 1999 to 2002 period used with the wire tether Hudson/Pacific. Those semi scale engine LC+ is replicating. G
I am glad I asked. I just checked the manual for the K-Line tank engine with cruise and it uses 74. The K-Line Cruise kits for the Hudson and Mikados just use 4. 34 seems to be an outlier.

I have tried every combination in the TMCC Reset code for my Allegheny and it doesn't seem to make a difference other than Diesel versus Steam.
For what ever reason the Allegheny with cruise doesn't seem to wan to run in conventional. I have seen another besides mine that does the same thing. Perfect in cruise and crawls in conventional with no high speed. Even tried off numbers like 5.
My TMCC Lionel Hudson says 34 and I have see other manuals with 43 (typo)? I have used 4, 34, 43 and they all work fine.
74 was the IR tether early Lionel stuff. G
