I've been choring over a restoration of a PW 2032.  It's been arduous, but I'm just about done.  I applied the decals, and to my dismay they're pretty washed out.  They were pretty yellow on the paper, but when applied the yellow fades out significantly.  I did use micro-sol setting solution.  I've used that in the past with no memorable fading.

Are all repros from the same source. I did email Olsen Parts from where I got it, and I'm waiting for a reply.  In the past they've been pretty sluggish on replies.

I'm wondering of anyone knows of a quality repro decal maker?

Thanks,

Alan

I found a dealer, Hallash Trains, who also has peel and stick repros for the Erie.  I'm making an inquiry as to whether you put this over or under the final clear coat.

Any thoughts?

I did get a reply from Olsen Trains.  They stated that they contacted the maker of the decals, and what I got is what they make. So, I asked " why would they make and you carry a product that disappoints"?  No reply yet, but I sent it after hours.

I have a couple of left over water slide decals, and I may just try the double application.  I will probably drive myself crazy trying for perfect alignment.

Alan
