Presented for your viewing pleasure, the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey has restored former New York Central E8 4083, one of only three E units to wear the Central's "Century Green" scheme tested during the early 1960s, to its green livery. Following the Penn Central merger, the 4083 became the PC 4326 and served into the 80s, finishing its active career as the NJ Transit 4326. The attached image is from the Garbely Publishing Facebook page and was taken at the URHS facility at Boonton, NJ.
We can be thankful one of the original units survived long enough to be restored and appreciated once again.
Enjoy,
Bob
