Dear Fellow Trainees:
I was talking today with TCA/NETCA Burlington Convention Chair "Big Joe" Fanara about fundraisers for his convention.
Both of us independently mind you, came up with the reverse color solid shield Rutland.
Thoughts???

I think it looks great. I would hope that on the production model the color green on the door and body will be a match. I’m amazed at the lack of response to this post!
I’d buy one if it were on a scale PS-1 boxcar!

Didn't someone else do that a few years back?
I'm in if you build it.
Keep us posted.
Being as I live in Vermont, I'm in for a couple of them.
Count me in…I would buy it.
I like it very much. I will definitely order one if you decide to produce it!
Will you be using actual 6464 molds with metal door guides top and bottom or 9400/9700 stand ins?
Pete
Thanks to everyone who responded.
I just did a quickie of this prototype in Photoshop the day before I had some heart surgery to keep my mind off of things.
I used my Postwar 6464-300 and reverse the colors and added the door from the 6464-75 just to make things faster.
What I was trying to do is to see if there is a market for something like this. I agree that one would have thought of more of an interest, but alas, I for one cannot read the minds of the modern day collector, can anyone else?
Mint cars were hot at one time, motorized units, aquarium cars, window display cars.
The problem is pricing and postage needs to coexist with an actual purchase. Profit margins are not great, so there are times of the thinking, "is this really worth the trouble" come up.
The decision to potentially make this or not is entirely up the the New England TCA Division. I just sketched it out for them to see.
Hope we can do this.
thanx
