Lionel 6-16113 Diamond Shamrock tankcar

This model is a very basic O-27 railcar that includes plastic trucks and couplers. The underframe is stamped sheet metal. It is lettered for Diamond Shamrock Chemical Company, Cleveland, Ohio. Road number is GATX 16113. The Lionel model was produced by Lionel Trains, Inc., Mt Celemens, Michigan. (BLT 1-91)

The plan is to construct a new underframe including brakegear and add end brakewheel and sprung metal trucks and couplers. Since I operate mostly scale sized cars this will be used with a small diesel switcher and other O-27 size cars on a switching layout.
