Lionel 6-17401 Conrail Standard O gondola

This model is a scale 42 foot long gondola with sprung trucks and a removable plastic coal load. The car was issued in 1987 (BLT 1-87). The photos show the car with and without the load. The plastic "load" was modified so that it set lower in the car which seemed to improve the appearance.

Note: Since this car will be used as part of a Conrail MOW consist the gondola load will be repainted to look more like ballast.
