Its nice that you are reviewing, but I think it would be better if you used better models to review.  I have this model, but I improved it by replacing the crude, rubber tracks with aftermarket, individual link, metal tracks which look much better.

Norscot has also made two other versions of the D11 series, the D11R-CD "Carry Dozer" item# 55070, and the D11T item# 55212.  Both come with factory equipped individual metal link tracks.

Note: All the Ertl models that have been reviewed on the OGR Forum were purchased to be used with an O scale model railroad. No attempt was made to purchase expensive highly detailed exact scale models that are otherwise available. As background models these items have sufficient detail for my needs.

This model features metal tracks.

These are relatively large pieces of equipment.  May be a comparison to a standard pick-up truck would show just how large the dozer is??

Just don't use that blue inspection truck posted previously, or the 'dozer will look pretty small!

Thank you, Naveen    The reason for, the raised final drive system with a lower idler, dates to many years ago.  The drive system, with just two idlers, put tremendous stress on the tractor trans-drive system, when turning under load, not recommended, causing catastrophic failures.  

I think everyone should have their chance to move some dirt .

What is the MSRP for these models?

The D11R-CD #55070 had an MSRP of $121.95 when it was last available, while the D11T #55212 had an MSRP of $170.95 when it was last available.  You can probably find them for less at the various die-cast dealers, or on ebay.
