Now that I’ve run this thing for some time, the only sound/software defect I can see is that the 44 tonner engine will not move when starting up using the extended startup sounds option.  It just sits there after making those wonderful extended sounds. I need to shut it down and restart with the normal start up on the dcs hand held. Then I’m able to accelerate and move the engine.  I’ve done feature/factory resets to see if it cures anything to no avail.  My other new PS3 engines all are able to accelerate after an extended startup. It’s  still rather minor, so I’m not sure upgrading the sound is worth it or if the new sound file will even fix this.  Has anyone else noticed this on a first run (2016 issue) 44 tonner?

That’s strange, RJR. I just went and tried it again and mine will not move after I start it up with the extended startup sounds.  I can input a quick set scale mph or rotate the thumb wheel and it will not respond no matter how high i go with the scale mph.  I can only get it to move when I press the shut down button and restart it with the normal startup on my dcs hand held.  I have version 5.01 on the dcs system, so maybe that is also an issue.  However, my other PS3 engines (gp-20 diesel, etc) work fine after I start them up with the extended startup sounds. I would think if it was an issue with the dcs software version, all of them would have the same results.  Let me know what mth says if they get back to you. Thanks
