About time.
Now I don’t have to drive 7 hrs to Smuggler’s this winter!
That is great news......I'm planning to come to the 2023 TCA National Convention in Burlington......I wonder if there will be excursions?

Yes Peter... the line plays host to an amazing dinner train from Burlington to Middlebury every evening in the Summer. Chef-prepared meals on-board in former AT & SF cars.

That is great, Jon........I’m planning on going to the Convention in June, 2023....hope to see you there.

This is terrific news! That said, and despite the optimism expressed in the article, it remains to be seen whether this new line to Burlington will be profitable in the long run, and escape the chopping block down the road. It should be fine in the short run, in light of the huge spike in gasoline prices, but that will not last forever. Here's hoping it will be successful.

Profitable really? Since when has any Amtrak train been profitable? The State, Feds, and the RR have spent large amount of money improving the line North of Rutland. Since this is an extension of a current train the Ethan Allen it will run whether the trains are full or empty. Politicians in the Northeast love trains whether it’s a good idea or not in the drive to get people out of their cars. This train is not going anywhere.
