Been very busy last few months. Despite the busy schedule the Rio Grande switching layout is progressing with detailing and scenery completion near the CWI Waste Management building. Was playing around with my iPhone and shot a consist rolling thru. Enjoy!

More vids to come! I ordered a DJI gimble to take nice smooth video...at the point now where I can experiment and enjoy photographing my work. Stay tuned.

RoyBoy,
Many thanks. I was inspired by the work of Pelle Soeborg and John Olson (The Jerome and Southwestern) when it comes to the desert look and vegetation choices. I used actual soil from Arizona Rock and Mineral and many, many tufts. This was the part of building the layout that I enjoyed the most. Turning plain pink foam board into a desert.

Did you post a track plan for the switching layout?...

HOWARD,
Not yet. Will be starting a new series on OGR, “Building the Rio Grande” in April. I have old photos, a track plan and will share my thoughts and techniques. Have learned a lot and want to share my experiences. Stay tuned.
