Hi guys,
Quick question, why would a RK F-3 run fine in DCS mode, but sluggish in conventional. I checked the battery and it's fine. I've got 3 of them and they all are doing the same. Change to another track, tried different transformers, same results.
Any ideas ?

Hi Barry, the top speed is low. BTW what ac voltage should I expect from a Z750 and a controller. I think I'm getting about 11v, does that sound low ?
Sorry it also causes the horn and/ or bell to be sporadially triggered and the lock-on green light flickers
Sounds like Z-750 you describe has issues, but you say you changed tracks and transformer and engines still behave the same. Have you tried a conventional and DCS reset; followed by another test of the engine on a track and transformer know to work well in conventional with other engines? G
Ok, so I retested the engines with lionel track, MTH was old like 1990, and a L 1033 trans. Though the 1033 only put out almost 15 volts, the speed was noticeable. I think the Z-750 controller is bad because the output of the brick is 20.6V. I may replace the controller in the future, but I'm REALLY waiting for the premium app to b released
