Gentle Forum Members,

I am happy to report that the RMLI-Lionel SKU 6-58521 Wonder Bread PS-2 Covered Hoppers have arrived at the Museum this morning!

I must report that Lionel has done a beautiful job on this car, the finished product is even better than the November prototype that we saw!  We apologize for the three month delay in rendering this car but I think you will agree it was worth the wait when you have it in your hands!

Today has been filled with organizing and labeling the packages for shipment from our Riverhead Museum site.  The Post Office will move them tomorrow, Wednesday, March 6.

Thank you to all the Lionel collectors who purchased this car from the Railroad Museum of Long Island.  We thank you for your patience and your support of the Museum.

Thank you Lenny,

I am pleased to announce that ALL RMLI-Lionel Wonder Bread PS-2 Hopper cars left the Museum this afternoon by 3:30 PM via USPS tuck.

The folks at the Riverhead Post Office accepted ten tubs of Lionel cars this afternoon - great job on their part in helping move these cars through the Museum in 30.5 hours!  Thanks also to the hearty crew of Museum Volunteers who got the process done before the snowstorm: Steve Sucic, Greg Kurzseski, John Thomson, Don Hawkins and John Rooney!

I'll post some photos of the cars leaving Riverhead later this evening.

Hello Super 'O' man,

No, I'm sorry, we do not carry the Collectible Club Cars in the Museum gift shops.

The only way you can get one is by pre-ordering or by searching e-Bay or a local train show/swap meet.  (I've seen our older cars for sale at York and there are usually a few up on e-Bay at any given time.)

Please understand that we work closely with Lionel to produce these unique, very collectible cars and we sell to our Museum members as part of Lionel's Club Car Program.  Your order pre-payment provides restricted membership in the Museum and affords you the opportunity to order future cars that we produce with Lionel.

Thank you for your interest and good luck with your search for the older cars in our series.

Good morning,

The Hostess Bi-Centennial Celebration car was released by Lionel in 2001 . . . . . . .

Lucky are those who have both Hostess Brands cars to run about on their layouts!

We are pleased to see the value of the cars appreciating so quickly.  We hope to give our collecting members a great value for their membership and interest.  Thank you to all who purchased and joined us, have fun with your cars and THINK YORK!
