We are running three to four weeks behind schedule! The first prototype car from China was rejected by Lionel due to poor quality imprinting. That issue was corrected and the Museum received an excellent prototype around November 1st.
We have heard verbally that the cars “left the factory” the week before Christmas. They may be in the USA at any time. Please know that we will ship them from Riverhead NY as soon as they are received, our mailing apparatus and the US Postal Service are ready. Sadly, I do not have a shipping date at hand.
We apologize for the delay. I am sure the good quality livery will make it worth the wait. Thank you for your understanding and patience – and thank you for your support of the Railroad Museum of Long Island and the Historic Lionel Layout.
