We have an RMT S-4 Diesel switcher which my grandson and I really like and want to run. Box says it is good for o/o-27 gauge. The problem is it will not go through an o22 switch without derailing the cars it is pulling. It appears the the coupler arm, tongue will not swing easily or far enough for the cars to go through the switch without derailing. In my research I found two suggestions, tie the coupler arm back to break-in and weaken the spring or file off part of the skirt by the coupler arm. Neither of these have resolved the issue. Is there any way to loosen the coupler assembly to work more freely? Is there any way to get this to work? The RMT S-4 have been around for awhile so hopefully someone has found a solution.

Thank you
