No offence Walter, But after being charged $27.00 for shipping on four passenger cars

I decide to spend what's left of my money elsewhere.

Grampstrains...Shipping cost is calculated by Fedex Ground or UPS Ground and is always the lowest possible rate we are charged by the carrier. We do not make money on shipping cost. The carrier sets rate based upon where you live - city-suburb-rural or otherwise that RMT does not have any control over. And without knowing your specific location address, I cannot offer anything more detailed.

 

If you are basing your comment  on rates shown on your online invoice, please remember that RMT cannot show final rate until order is processed. Your package invoice will show the actual charged shipping cost.

 

RMT is trying to save our customers $$ on products, services and shipping.

Yep, Looks like Aristo-Craft is still dumping product..they must be really hurting for $$$

Kinda harsh......I work in a different hobby field and if you think times are easy for anyone.....try the biz yourself.

I have both RMT and Aristo G and feel I have gotten good deals from both.....things are tough all over.

Grampstrains, try living on the islands. Shipping is super high. You have two choices. Pay really high prices to get something within a week or low and wait two to three month by ship. Don

And Don, you think you've got problems! Try Australia.

I have seen the TX SP cars at Houston Tinplate layout, and they look great. 

 

Houston tin does not have the K-Line cars.  But the KL cars had Katy names and numbers.  RTM have SL-SF lettering.  Katy and Frisco joint ran the train until the 1960's when it ran completely on the Katy.
