I am looking for direction as to photographing the eastern side of Rockville Bridge. I will be coming in from I-78/I-81. What will be the best exit number or route number to take get the best locations?

Find 322W and the Rockville exit. Looking at a map would be very helpful.
Coming from 78 stay on 81S. You’ll want to get off on the "Front Street" exit, #66, and stay right onto North Front Street. The bridge is about 2 miles north of the highway. Unfortunately there are a lot of trees on the eastern bank, but if you go under the bridge, about 1/2 on the left is Ft. Hunter Mansion. You can see the bridge from the park parking lot.
Mo, nice to see you here! I haven't seen you post for awhile, Thought you might have quit trains! Welcome back!

Thanks mike. Been busy: work, Scouts, honey do’s, summer vacation.
I was looking for where the Starrucca Viaduct was, and it is a fur piece from York...you can't get there from there, way up in the NE corner of PA. Photo showed track across it...still in use?
Good tip about Fort Hunter. It's a bit distant with a clear view of the bridge.

Thank you for the actual helpful responses. I would appreciate it if the other people would have actually stuck to the subject matter.

Starrucca Viaduct is north east of Scranton, PA. It is still in use today by Norfolk Southern. They purchased the route from Canadian National either last year or early this year. I am in South Western Connecticut and it is about a 4 1/2 hour ride for me. I would think that it is about a 3 to 4 hour drive from York. Also with in a 30 to 45 minute drive from it is Tunkhannok Viaduct. It is smaller but still impressive.
It's true there are a lot of trees right next to the bridge on the eastern side but if you have some boots or at least some good hiking shoes you can park off to one side and walk down through the brush to get on the other side of the trees. At this time of year the river is low so you shouldn't have to worry about water level.
If you want to watch the trains and eat at the same time continue down Front St towards Harrisburg. On the left hand side below the bridge is a bar restaurant called The BORO. Good place to eat and they open the garage style doors to see the bridge and the river. Great bar food too. I sometimes get and recommend the Sampler. All kinds of good stuff. Beers are cold too. This is where I stop after gun shows and the YORK meet on my way home. I only live about 20 miles North of the bridge.
