I went to the Rocky Mountain Train Show today, and as usual, it was a great show. Here are some finds from the day:

-2025 from 1948-49. I've primarily been interested in finding one from 1947, but always figured the 48-49 variation would be fine as well.

-6411 flatbed from 1948-50. I was on the lookout for cars from the mid-to-late 1940s, and it fit the criteria, so...

-3451 log dump car from 1946-48. Got it for the same reason I got the 6411.

-6427 caboose from 1954-60. I've wanted one of these for quite some time now.

Apologies for the lighting and the mess in the background in some of the pictures.

It was fairly well packed today. Went and listened to Ed Dickens give a presentation slide show about restoring the 4014 with his crew. Gave plenty of accolades to his crew.  Showed us all the machinery not visible to the observer. You can see why it took 5 years to restore.  And yes, he showed us slides of himself getting 'down and dirty' installing firebrick in the firebox. He had fireman Ted and a few others of his crew with him.

Lionel train prices were all over the place. Some really good deals could be had with the right sellers. Good late winter show.
