Yesterday I took a RK Scale RS1 to the club and tried to run it in DCS to no avail. When I powered up the track it came on in 'normal' but wouldn't shift out of neutral and move out. All functions seemed to be working well but I couldn't get her underway. Even by tipping the engine on its side and completely breaking the power it just sat there. I had the DCS hooked up to the layout and it worked fine at the house 30 min previous and again when I brought it back here but nothing at the layout.

I assume that it was somehow still 'working' at the layout but prevented the engines from entering full DCS function?

I'm sorry but I didn't spend much time there checking why. Was just taking a few photos and the room was cold. Battery is reasonable well-charged - I use the MTH dual charger from time to time.

I had the RS1 and a Premiere engine on different loops. I powered up the Z4000 after plugging in my home T.I.U. as I usually do. The set-up worked fine a few weeks ago there with two different engines.  Both engines came up in conventional so I powered down and checked my remote. All seemed Ok so on with the power again - same thing.

We plug the T.I.U. in passively at the club layout and it has worked reasonable well. Mine is Rev 3 with the upgrade done at the DCS meeting at April York.

I needed to take pics and get going so I abandoned the remote and ran the Premiere engine conventionally and it was fine. The RS1 just sat there after repeated attempts to get it out of 'neutral'. Start-up sounds and engine sounds were normal. Horn and bell worked from the transformer on both but while the RS1 smoked fine at a standstill, the other one didn't smoke at all. I even 'tipped' the RS1 to break the current with no change.

Back home on the bench with DCS, both engines performed normally including smoke...

I don't have a transformer here at home, just a Z1000 brick, DCS, and Legacy so I don't operate conventionally at all.
