This is the best I have read yet. Lee's Superstreets, Alex's Trestles and Jim's Rock face article. Great stuff!.
Impressive. That rock technique of Jim P. looks great....and that trestle....are you kidding me?....That is a gem.
I am happy to see that T1 cleaned up. I saw it under steam way back in the AFT days and later when it was not in great shape.
Dare I even think it may run someday?
The picture of the Reading T1 is not a recent pic. I think I took that picture back in the 80's some time.
I doubt that it will ever run again. There are too many mechanical issues in play since it was in the roundhouse fire in Kentucky years ago.
Rich...I know you may get tired of hearing the same old compliments but you are an absolute natural presenter. Your voice and delivery are perfect.... I don't know if you had/have children but if so, I'll bet when you read them stories they were hanging on your every word. You have that kind of effect and your preview videos make one want to know more!!!! Great stuff for sure!

Thanks for the kind words, Alan. I worked in radio years ago and have done voice-over work for both broadcast and corporate videos. But every time I complete the editing on one of these videos and watch the finished product I have to ask myself...who is that old guy on-camera? That can't be me!
The Lovely and Gracious Linda and I have one daughter and three wonderful grandchildren. And yes...I have spent time reading to all of them at one time or another. Wonderful moments to be sure...the kind that money can't buy.
Did you all get run 256 yet?
Articles like Jim's rock face how to is what makes O Gauge magazine the best out there bar none.

Thank you, Thomas. Glad you liked it.
Believe it or not, I got the idea for that cliff technique a few years ago when I was asked to build a camel (!!!) for a church Nativity scene. I needed a covering that was tough enough so that kids could sit on it, yet be flexible - not brittle - which ruled out plaster products.
Finally got around to using a similar idea for the layout.
