My Tiu has just flashed nine times upon power up. It of course is not be recognized by the remote. I tried to edit the tiu address with NO luck. I tried reloading the latest tiu software but the computer will not recognize the com port for the tiu. Is that because it is not recognizing the tiu address as TIU Number 1??? Any words of wisdom??

Shop for a new TIU. The nine flashes is an unrecoverable error that indicates either the processor or memory. Either of those problems involves a large surface mount chip that requires special equipment to replace.

I'm guessing this is the original Rev. G as I've seen that issue on a number of them. I have a couple in my closet, I keep them for parts like binding posts, the case, or the transceiver board.

Well I'd at least salvage the case, binding posts and the 900mhz radio board.
