Running MTH E6 BN ABA?

Question? I am looking at buying MTH 20-2359-1. It is a E6 ABA with motors in both A units. I am looking to model the Nebraska Zephyr which is run with a E5 A unit. If I buy the MTH ABA set can I run each A unit by itself? Thanks, Don

Don, the MTH A-B-A sets generally have the trailing A unit connected and "slaved" to the lead A unit. So, you can run the lead A unit of the set by itself. The other A unit, however, would require a PS2 or PS3 upgrade to operate independently.
