Heading up to the Lake George, NY area this week. I was thinking about taking a ride on the Saratoga & North Creek RR. Anyone ever ride? Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.

There are two scheduled trips - you can take an all day trip from Saratoga to N Creek and back with a 3-4 hour layover. Full food service (breakfast/dinner) is available. There is also a "shuttle" ride on the north end. The operation is a class act!

Keep us posted should you go. If I ever get time for a vacation, I have had my eye on this RR. I used to walk the Saratoga tracks years ago looking for glass telephone insulators and 50s hubcaps and found a beautiful chrome Kaiser hubcap along those tracks that still hangs on my den wall. Great memories of a beautiful area.
