Hi Malcolm! Yes the #109 is what I am trying to copy- was hoping someone had matched it. The 109 pic looks later and the paint is faded- I have most blues in my drawer, B&O, C&O, ATSF, BAR, A&R ,N&W. might need to do some experiments
I have moved forward on this project, in the absence of any available decals I got busy in AutoCAD and made my own. I had to settle on a gray outline since I couldn't get silver to work. The original S&A heralds on the diesels were also embossed, I don't have a solution for that . If all goes well I will start applying tomorrow night.
This was all prompted by my Daughter starting at SCAD this year- some great railroading in and around Savannah. Before she left we worked together on some decals- while that was fun the printing was something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy! I still consider this a work in process but thought I would share anyway. We are still massaging the decals.
Although you may have been tempted to say a bad word during the process, the result is very, very nice.
Your personal record has been awarded ten merits for making your own decals for a fondly remembered and proudly southern railroad, and for applying them to a mighty Baldwin AS-616 diesel-electric locomotive.
