This was a old stained and rusted NYC Pacemaker box car that I got with some other trains from my friend Old Rob in N. Carolina.  I figured that since it wasn't all banged up, it might be worth saving.  I thought it came out pretty good just using what I had on hand.  If I were to do it over, I would get the decals for rolling stock so I good get more of the data necessary for the side of the car...

Chris,  That one was my grandfathers .  After he passed my brother got his home.  It was tucked up in a hole in the foundation and was a mess.  Motor froze solid, body a mess and missing some trim.  I had another shell as the original was so badly rusted.  Bob Hannon made me a new armature and the balance of the other parts came from Jeff Kane.  I have become quite good at working on the open style motors out of neccessity.  The red insulating fiber and spacer bushings  used in those is a nightmare to deal with.
