48 small children were among the 50 victims of a train slamming into a school bus at a rail crossing in Egypt yesterday. Early reports indicate the crossing watchman had fallen asleep.

God protect them.

Egypt?

I'm not against this, in principle.  It is a great thing to advocate.

But I'm wondering if these prayers need to go to God (my own personal choice) or Allah or some other deity?

My first reaction beyond not being able to imagine the incommensurable amount of sorrow this tragedy caused for families, is the nature of the cause that reads like an American account from the 19th Century. I was thinking about the watchman and perhaps his own family having this fatal mistake ( falling asleep) to ruminate on for the rest of their lives. A terrible, terrible loss on all counts. What else is there to say?
