Is the MTH 3 dome tank on par with their premier cars? Or better yet does sny make a nice scale 3 dome tank car?

MTH makes a three dome tank car in their Rail King line. They are on a par with other with other Rail King freight cars with moderate detail and Rail King trucks.
While I do not know of a specific prototype against which to compare them I suspect that the MTH Rail King 3 dome thank cars are close to scale dimensions for a 6000 gallon three compartment tank car.

I ordered a couple sets of Protocraft decals for this car. I have Atlas tank cars but they are only single dome. I don't know much about Rail King cars. I suspect they do not have kadee mount pads like MTH's Premier cars, do they? Anyway, thanks again!

I'm pretty sure that cars like that have been produced in brass from companies like Max Gray, Kemtron, and other brass importers from years ago. They show up on eBay all the time.

Here are some brass tank cars I picked up at the Chicago O Scale show last year.
I believe these two are US Hobbies products. I was able to convert these cars to 3 rail using Atlas trucks.
These two are 3Rd Rail tank cars. These two brass tank cars were also easily converted to 3 rail by using Atlas trucks.

Rail King cars were not designed to crossover to the 2 rail or 3 rail scale markets. However, if you look at Page 2 of the O Scale Freight Car Guide to Tank Cars you will see a Rail King single dome tank car that Ray Marion converted to Kadees. It has been done.
