Would like to learn more about actual production Scale Model Railways (John W. Farris company, circa 1930s) Chicago Great Western 2-10-4's. All I know is that the loco was cataloged by SMR according to Keith Wills in RMC Collector Consist column, and now in his O scale history book from WR Productions. How many were produced, if any? Do they show up on the collector market these days, or where to look for a knowledgeable source of info on these?
I'm hoping Bob2, Jim DeBruin, or another of their peer experts in 2-rail O will see this and respond. CGW crossed my model C&NW Galena Division mainline on a deck girder bridge in Lombard IL. Here's a link to see it, a photo page on Trainweb.org: http://www.trainweb.org/cgw/ph...el_locos/roster.html
A representation of that bridge with a CGW Texas-type displayed on it would make a great scene divider, right where I need one!
