OK, so I'm becoming infamous for these "but will it run?" questions;  I apologize to anyone who has tired of them   My most recent 'ask' was regarding a PRR scale 'Texas' to which the answer was essentially NO.    So I'm posing it again - this time for the MTH Veranda Turbine (or any of the big turbine variants, really...).   It is yet another engine I lust after, but I am once again foiled by champagne tastes on beer track

Or am I?  I know that big steamers with long tenders are obviously problematic, but I have found wagon-body diesels to be more "forgiving" in certain situations.   I don't have access to test one, so I'm searching for the needle in the haystack - has anyone done it???  It would be REALLY cool to see that mammoth beast rolling down the tracks of my layout, but it would REALLY stink to see it climb the rails on the first O-60 curve (ALL of my curves are O-60 including the switches) and tumble off the tracks.  I'm a carpet central guy at the moment, so at least it wouldn't have far to go...

What say ye?

Thanks!!!

BTW:  I have one O-60 S-curve that could easily be eliminated - no tight S curves in the yard through switches either.... if it helps?
