How horrendous it must have been for the crew as well as the occupants. That's not a scene anyone is likely to forget.

The article starts off suggesting the bus hit the train, but later on states that the opposite has on fact occurred.

Like GCR, I was thinking the tail wagged the dog, and the bus drove into the side
of the train...article says train hit bus, on a clear day (N.D., and you think blizzard).
Bus driver at fault....much too easy to become complacent about not seeing trains at
crossings, and, surprise!, you see one unexpectedly, and are glad you looked carefully.
