When I posted the question on the Gargraves track it was because it was included as a whole package with some O22 switches. It was 200 ft of Gargraves and 15 O22 switches for $300. Depending on the condition of the switches, the $300 would be a good price just for them.

Well, the poster contacted me and told me he'd let me have the whole kit'n'kaboodle for $150.
Told him I'd show up, take a look and test a few of the switches and he said , "no problem".

I randomly checked 5 of the switches. All worked fine and he had the controllers, although about half look like they need new wiring, as the insulation is brittle. Also has the light hoods for the switch machines. So I said OK. At 10 bucks a switch for working switches I'd be stooopid (worse than stupid) to not take him up on it. He did make the condition that I had to take everything.

Well, here's where it gets interesting . . . . .
Everything not only included the gargraves track, but a 1033 and a V transformer (need new cords), 3 RCS tracks with controllers, 1 UCS track with controller, scenery material, a fairly nice sized bag of Lionel coal, probably a hundred feet of unused wire, a number of SPST switches, and some other small stuff I have yet to dig through.

The track rails need cleaning and includes a number of the 12.4 inch straight sections, I'd guess 40-50. The wood is in great shape. The flex track sections have minor bends in them at most, and many have no screw holes in them. The ties are all clean, so it looks like they were never ballasted or glued down either.

Since I use the old tubular track, I can clean, straighten, and sell the Gargraves and the O22's will be perfect for what I want.

And on top of it, there were two O27 switches and enough track to make a loop with a siding. My niece has 2 boys, 4 and 6. She remembers growing up with trains under the tree. Her Dad passed away awhile ago. I got all of his trains, and at the time she was single with no kids, so had no interest in them. I'm going to fix up an old loco I have, grab the O27 UCS track I got with some O31 track, so she can use a log dump car and another operating car I have yet to decide on, clean and test everything, and put together a layout for her and her boys.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas !!
