For those who haven't heard, last week's heavy rains caused some bad ROW washouts in and around Scranton. Today's Steamtown excursion to Gouldsboro had to be cancelled and DL track crews have been hard at work to bring things back up to speed. Yes, everyone is aware that Railfest is right around the corner. Trolley line is also down. The ROW is primarily used for revenue freight so repairs are a HIGH PRIORITY, no reason to panic just yet. The damage is mostly localized and not wide spread, I haven't heard of any major issues on the Carbondale line.
