Looks like I really have a new "food goal" as squeamish I am not. I once knowingly ate a whole box of chocolate covered insects given to an aunt as a gag(mostly nutty flavors, ants were like chocolate covered rice crispies), and eel, squid, and gator are among my fav.s. Im kind of surprised I never had it as I lived for years in Amish country around the Penn/Ohio boarder. I hope it is more like sausage than Spam as I really dont like ham, or spam (unless its smothered in English comedy).
Just a note, my pals mother worked years in meat processing plants. She liked them but wont eat a hot dog now, but she says she will eat scrapple. Its the bird scraps and the "things" she saw in the bird scraps that keeps her from eating a hot dog. Give her an all beef frank, or pork sausage and she's happy.
Perhaps sending pictures of well done train cars with other famous meats brand logos will loosen the grip on logos by scrapple producers Does York coincide with increased product sales? Maybe we need an eaters/operators strike against them.
