I need the screw/bolt to hold the trucks to the underframe/floor and do not know the size. The factory screw is too short to use for a Weaver coupler and truck. A Weaver bolt is not wide enough. If you know the diameter please post it. I'll get the correct length at our local hardware store. Thank you, John

I checked one of my Pecos River boxcars and it is a "self tapping" screw 2.6 mm or 0.1025" in diameter over the outside of the threads.

I have a vague recollection that what I ended up doing was drilling the hole through and using nuts on the inside of the car to secure the screw. Unfortunately that car is in storage now so I can't confirm it.
I just checked one of mine. I agree with Bob. also it is a "shouldered" screw which means it has a flange like washer on the bottom of the head that goes against the kingpin on the car.
