Does anyone have input as to the performance and appearance of Lionel / Atlas / MTH SD60's? Note - this is the as introduced SD60 and not the rebuilds recently released (SD60M...)
I am heavy on running DCS engines but also plan to run TMCC on the LOTF (layout of the future).
I remember watching them in the late 80's early 90's when living outside Charlotte. Thanks for any input.

Not sure if this counts but I have the 2004 MTH Railking Scale NS SD60 (30-2436-1), I really like it. Runs well, sounds and smokes great. I also have the matching non powered unit.
Unfortunately Atlas O never made the SD60. They made the GP60,,, not as popular
I have the MTH Rail king SD 60 in Union Pacific color scheme. It is pretty close to scale and runs great with its Proto Sound 3 electronics package. It is a nicely detailed model with great graphics. I am sure it was available in many road names. I believe it was originally offered with the PS3 package in 2015.

PRR - for some reason the GP60 does not appeal as much as the SD60.

I have two Railking SD60's standard can units, one is NS with PS3 (2015) and the other is BN with PS2 (2007). They're solid units, my only gripe is the incorrect high fuel tanks and the PS3 has incorrect engine sounds, but I am picky when it comes to sound accuracy. I'd recommend one if you can look past the minors errors.
From outward appearances, the SD50 and SD60 are almost identical twins.
I have the Premier CNW SD50’s and they are very nice models. I don’t think MTH makes a Premier SD60 but I could be wrong. I’ve run the Lionel SD60 and they are also nice models
